tonsillitis

Hi and Assalamualaikum.

Recently, I ended up busy with finals, assessment, presentations and banyak lagi benda. So sebab busy sesangat ni la kot yang agaknya jatuh sakit kot ya. *macam teruk sangat* Alhamdulillah. sekarang dekat rumah kena rehat je banyak banyak. Seminggu kena rehat dekat rumah.

Jom saya cerita macam mana boleh sakit. disebabkan tak ada siapa nak dengar safra cerita sebabtu letak sini. blog ni pendengar yang setia. Mula sekali nak tanya tahu ke apa tonsil tu? Kalau tak tahu tak apa. Meh nak explain sebab si safra ni pun baru je tahu. lepas kena sakit baru nak buat research apa tonsil tu. Macam ni la manusia kan, bila dah kena baru sedar :)

safra tak sihat masa dekat kolej lagi. kebetulan tengah nak prepare untuk oral Malay Selasa lepas. (eh cik kak ni. Melayu pun nak kena prepare ke. of coursee, Malay Foreign Language oral is not as easy as English oral.
in fact, preparing for all other Foreign Language semua payah sikit bila compared to English. Kalau English 2nd Language, awak masuk je bilik examiner tu then the examiner will give you a piece of card. dekat card tu ada few points that we MUST memorise about 5mins according to the theme given dari Cambridge board. depends jugak la if dapat theme yang senang then Alhamdulillah cerah la masa depan awak nak buat oral speaking. sebab senang. kalau susah kena calm down je jangan nervous. sebab body language does count untuk dapat full mark. kalau kaku or gagap, shivers ke *macam safra la selalu shivers, gigil* confirm akan lupa points yang hafal awal tadi so yes calm yourself down. amboi ayat mak mak sangat
kalau English 1st Language lagilah senang kerja. kita cari topic sendiri and hafal. lepastu masuk bilik examiner nanti diaorang tanya soalan based on kita punya theme/topic. tapi first language ni banyak orang tak tahan sebab susah. ni English high level. kalau pakai normal vocabulary nanti markah tak counted. normally kena cakap pasal current issues. Elaboration needs to be subjective and accurate. masa untuk present pun lama berbanding dengan 2nd Language English. yang ini segala aspek kena kira. body language, persuasive device, fluent and accuracy, intonation dan banyak lagi.

macam Malay payah sikit. sikit je tak banyak. haha sebab ada roleplay A and B, guided conversation and general conversation. kalau dah nama pun roleplay maksudnya kena berlakon la. so roleplay tu kita kena berlakon for 3mins for each roleplay A and B. roleplay tu kena hafal 10mins before masuk bilik examiner. lepastu guided conversation ni topik kita sendiri. ni pun agak tough sebab board Cambridge nak current issues and vocab yang tinggi. then dah boleh proceed ke general conversation. ini part yang paling susah. *err tak susah la safra* sebab kita kena jawab soalan dari examiner regarding the topic yang Cambridge dah set kan. amboi banyaknya cakap pasal oral speaking. ni baru 3 jenis oral. belum lagi yang lain)

seeee. dah terbabas lagi dari topik awal. mula tadi nak cakap pasal sakit. ni cakap pasal speaking

okay jum cerita. masa pagi bangun tidur before oral tu, dah mula rasa badan macam nak demam. sejuk semacam. lepastu pinggang sakit kepala pening. ha sudah. tanda tanda ni. tapi buat tak tahu je sebab ingat demam biasa je. tekak pun tak sakit lagi masa tu. tambah pelik demam berlarutan 4 hari dah. tekak makin sakit sampai air liur pun payah nak telan. tengok leher yang sebelah kiri bengkak. so 4 hari jugak la tak makan apa apa langsung and safra notice suara jadi makin perlahan secara tiba tiba. macam nak hilang suara. kawan semua cakap "katrina are you okay do you wanna go to the medical centre." ehem kita penakut jumpa matron garang haha. so tak pergi. bila tak pergi makin teruk leher and badan makin panas. bila dah tak tahan sangat message mamapapa cakap kakak demam aa :(

tapi tak cakap leher tengah bengkak. huu taknak la risaukan ma dengan pa. sebab masatu still ingat demam biasa. tak sangka demam panas sebab tonsil dekat tekak tengah membengkak sebabtu leher pun bengkak. ni first time kena, banyak benda tak tahu lagi. sakit memanglah tapi Allah sayang, sebabtu Allah uji :) nak tunggu mama sampai kolej punyalah lama rasa macam bertahun. badan panas, tekak sakit. tak makan apa, rasa lemah yang tersangat lemah. naik tangga pun macam berbayang mata kabur. pergi kelas tidur je nasib baik lecturer semua faham.

Tonsillitis

What is it?
Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils most commonly caused by viral or bacterial infection. Symptoms may include sore throat and fever. When caused by a bacterium belonging to the group A streptococcus it is typically referred to as strep throat. The overwhelming majority recover completely with or without medication. In 40%, symptoms have resolved in three days and within one week in 85%, regardless of whether streptococcal infection is present or not.

Signs and symptoms?
  • sore throat
  • red, swollen tonsils
  • pain when swallowing
  • high temperature (fever)
  • coughing
  • headache
  • tiredness
  • chills
  • a general sense of feeling unwell (malaise)
  • white pus-filled spots on the tonsils
  • swollen lymph nodes (glands) in the neck
  • pain in the ears or neck
  • Less common symptoms include:
  • nausea
  • stomach ache
  • vomiting
  • furry tongue
  • voice changes
  • difficulty opening the mouth (trismus)
Causes?
The most common cause is viral infection and includes adenovirus, rhinovirus, influenza, coronavirus, and respiratory syncytial virus. The second most common cause is bacterial infection of which the predominant is Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus (GABHS), which causes strep throat.
Anaerobic bacteria have been implicated in tonsillitis and a possible role in the acute inflammatory process is supported by several clinical and scientific observations.
Under normal circumstances, as viruses and bacteria enter the body through the nose and mouth, they are filtered in the tonsils. Within the tonsils, white blood cells of the immune system destroy the viruses or bacteria by producing inflammatory cytokines like Phospholipase A2, which also lead to fever. The infection may also be present in the throat and surrounding areas, causing inflammation of the pharynx.
Sometimes, tonsillitis is caused by an infection of spirochaeta and treponema, in this case called Vincent's angina or Plaut-Vincent angina.

InsyaAllah akan sembuh tak lama lagi. lepas ni dah boleh makan ayam goreng dengan nasi :)
